At 3 months
old Jason Pierce began his journey on the road. Under the direction of his
parents he toured all of Canada with acts such as Glass Tiger, Blue Rodeo and
many others. While out with his parents production company Jason was mesmerized
by the intensity, primal rhythm, and feel of live drums.
After a few years of begging, at age four his parents splurged and
bought him his first drum kit. Next followed years of noise as the young
musician developed his groove. With the encouragement and aid of national and
internationally acclaimed drummers, Jason journeyed the well-traveled road of
practice day in and day out to get where he is today.
Described by world-renowned producers as a prodigy, a human
metronome and a one take wonder; Jason is a player with a very bright future.
The past few years have seen Jason traveling the world dominating theatres and
stadiums alike with Power Poppers "The Weekend".
Brought up on rock and roll; Jason's influences are no surprise.
At the top of the list are your stadium rockers: Matt Sorum, Mickey Curry and
studio greats Josh Freese, Kenny Aronoff, and Abe Laboriel Jr.
Jason's huge drum sound is achieved only by his Maple Custom
Absolute kit; "You can't beat Yamaha, my kit sounds INCREDIBLE and my
hardware is practically indestructible. It takes a lot off my mind knowing my
kit sounds great show after show."
