Yamaha Grade Examinations

 

In 1987, Yamaha Canada began the introduction of the Yamaha Grade Examination System (YGE).  Yamaha grades are numbered in descending order, with 13 as the lowest and 1 as the highest.  Grades 13 – 6 are student grades and Grades 5 – 3 are for teachers and advanced students.  Since 1987, over 2,000 teachers and students across Canada have successfully completed these exams.
