Semi-Hollow/Hollowbody Guitars

The AEX1500, AES1500 and SA2200 guitars are timeless hollow and semi-hollow designs with tone and playability matched only by their classic looks.  The finest cuts of spruce, maple and sycamore are employed on these guitars, and a choice of beautiful finishes emphasize their stunning highlights.

The AEX1500 is a traditional archtop with a twist; the neck-mounted mini-humbucker is complimented with a bridge-mounted piezo pickup to produce not only electric jazz sounds, but also acoustic archtop sounds.  Controls include a passive volume and tone for the neck pickup, an active 3-band EQ for the piezo and a mix control for blending the two.

The single cutaway AES1500 is equally at home with rock, jazz or country.  The DiMarzio Q-100 pickups can be split to produce humbucking warmth to P90 bite.  The AES1500 is available in Pearl Snow White and Orange Stain.  For a true rockabilly setup, the AES1500B combines the features of the standard 1500 with a classic Bigsby tremolo.  Available in Black and Orange Stain.

The 24 ¾” (628mm) scale and the Alnico V humbuckers of the SA2200 make it ideal for rock and blues, while the thin line, semi-hollow body design makes is just as well suited for pop and jazz.  The SA2200 features a highly figured maple top and a mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard.  The push-push tone pots switch the pickups from humbucking to single-coil.  The gold hardware sets off the beautiful Violin Sunburst finish of this versatile guitar.
