What is XM Connect-and-Play™ technology ?
XM Connect-and-Play™ contains core elements of both an XM antenna and an XM tuner in one, simple-to-install, package. Supporting the antenna is a brand new technology platform which provides a low-cost, standard interface for playing XM through a variety of consumer electronics products, including Yamaha’s XM Ready receivers.

How does the Connect-and-Play™ antenna work?
The Connect-and-Play™ antenna receives the XM signal, processes it and delivers crisp, clean digital audio to the system to which it is connected. You simply plug the single cable connection into your XM Ready Yamaha receiver and activate the service. That’s it!

Do I need a subscription to use the Connect-and-Play™ antenna?
Because the Connect-and-Play™ antenna acts as an XM receiver, it requires activation and subscription. Please visit the XM Satellite Radio website at www.xmradio.ca for more information.

What other accessories do I need for my XM Ready system to work?
None. The Connect-and-Play™ antenna is the only thing you need to get XM Satellite Radio through your XM Ready Yamaha receiver.

Will my XM Ready system work in the basement?
To receive crystal clear digital sound in the basement, it is best to place the Connect-and-Play™ antenna near a window. The Connect-and-Play™ antenna comes with a standard 25-foot cable, making it an easy reach.

When will I be able to buy Yamaha XM Ready Receivers and the XM Connect-and-Play™ antenna?
Yamaha XM Ready receivers are available now. The XM Connect-and-Play™ antenna is also available where XM Ready products are sold.

Can I use the Connect-and-Play™ antenna on the stereo receiver I just bought last month?
The Connect-and-Play™ antenna will only work with receivers clearly marked with "XM Ready" and/or the Connect-and-Play™ logo.
