Advanced YST II

Yamaha's newly developed Advanced YST II (Yamaha Active Servo Technology II) builds on the original Advanced YST concept by combining negative-impedance and constant current principles to drive the speaker cone with even tighter control.

Using Advanced Negative Impedance Converter (ANIC) circuits, this system dynamically optimizes effective speaker impedance to maintain excellent linearity. This means more stable and accurate low range response, not to mention higher sound pressure levels, for more natural and energetic bass reproduction.

Down-firing Active Design with Linear Port

The YSTFSW050 employs a high performance, down-firing active design. Even though compact, it delivers impressive bass power and accurate sound reproduction. The down-firing design radiates the sound efficiently in all directions with the help of Linear Port (right).

The Linear Port provides smooth bass response and minimizes extraneous noise. It also serves to boost the sound output from this compact subwoofer.
