| As amazing as it seems, the YSP900 can actually deliver multi-channel sound that surrounds listeners the same way that sound from front, center and rear speakers does. | The YSP900 has a powerful and efficient digital amplifier built in that powers the 21 beam drivers and two woofers. There is no need to purchase an additional amplifier or receiver, so the system is compact and economical. |

| Yamaha’s ultra-sophisticated CINEMA DSP technology creates thrillingly realistic soundscapes in any room. Three CINEMA DSP programmes are available (Movie, Music and Sports). The YSP900 is compatible with Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Pro Logic II (Movie, Music and Game) and DTS Neo:6 (Cinema and Music) sound formats. |
| During low-volume listening, such as late at night, dynamic range suffers and you may miss some sounds. The Night Listening Enhancer offers two settings, Cinema and Music, with three-level selectability, which will ensure that you don’t miss movie dialogue or quiet passages, or lose overall surround spaciousness. There is also a TV Equal Volume mode to prevent sudden bursts of loud sound such as from commercials. |

YSP Digital Sound Projectors take advantage of your walls to create true multi-channel surround sound. Or instead of surround sound, users can focus the sound to the place where they are sitting. Even in noisy surroundings, you can hear dialogue and other sounds clearly. It is also handy to avoid disturbing others who are sleeping, for example, as well as helping people who are hard of hearing. You just point the remote control at the YSP unit, hold a button for a few seconds, and the sound is directed right at that spot. There are also four other selectable sound modes: 5 Beam, 3 Beam, 3 Beam + Stereo, and Stereo. |

FIVE BEAM MODE
All five channels - Left, Right, Centre, Left-surround and R-surround - are given separate orientations. Sound is beamed off the walls to create the effect of a surround system with rear speakers. |

STEREO MODE
The left and right woofers, with the multiple beam speakers acting as tweeters, reproduce the effect of conventional stereo speakers. |

THREE BEAM MODE
Three beams are produced: Left and Left-surround, Right and Right-surround and Centre. A surround sound effect is created by reflecting the sound off the walls. |

THREE BEAM + STEREO MODE
The Left and Right channels are produced using stereo mode while Centre, Left-surround and Right-surround are produced using beaming. This mode is effective when the YSP-1 placed in a corner. |

MY BEAM
One beam is produced: Sound is projected to a distinct location to allow for private listening without the headphones at the touch of a button. |
