| Without any extra speakers, the YSP600 provides true multi-channel sound that surrounds listeners from all directions. Yamaha’s acoustic and DSP expertise allowed the development of technology that uses reflected sound waves to create amazingly lifelike sound. DVD movies and other digital sources sound just the way they are supposed to and even 2-channel sources like TV can be heard in dynamic surround sound. |
| The YSP600 features dual HDMI inputs and one output that support 1080p resolution so users can connect two HDMI sources, such as a DVD player and a high definition set-top box, and enjoy the highest possible quality with a 1080p display. It is also capable of repeating a 1080p/24Hz signal t highest quality picture from Blu-ray discs. |
| The YSP600 has a powerful and efficient digital amplifier built in. It powers the 16 beam drivers at 2W each and the two woofers at 15W each, for a total of 62W of power. There is no need for the customer to purchase an additional amplifier or receiver, so the system is compact and economical. |
| The YSP600’s design is one of its most appealing points. As a single unit, it can be conveniently placed on a shelf or rack, eliminating the need to position multiple speaker boxes. It also eliminates the bother of numerous cables running across the floor. The glossy finish is elegant as well, and will nicely complement any flat panel monitor. |
| Connecting the YSP600 is much simpler than with conventional home theatre systems, because multiple speaker cables are not necessary. Placement is flexible – it can be positioned above or below the display in the front-centre of the room, or in either of the front corners. It is compact enough that space should not be a problem in almost any setting. |
| This Yamaha exclusive feature ensures optimum multi-channel sound reproduction with accurate image location. By monitoring and analysing the sound with the microphone included with the YSP600, IntelliBeam automatically sets the best beam angles, while optimising the level and frequency response of each beam. It also offers Direct Start function via remote unit. This makes initial setup both extremely simple and acoustically perfect. |
| The YSP-600 remote unit offers a number of useful features. A slide switch allows easy switching between YSP and TV images. It has an IntelliBeam Direct Start button and preset functions for TV, STB and DVD control. There is also a TV Macro function that makes it possible to switch among sources connected to the TV by presetting TV commands into the remote. |
| During low-volume listening, such as late at night, dynamic range suffers and you may miss some sounds. The Night Listening Enhancer offers two settings, Cinema and Music, with three-level selectability, which will ensure that you don't miss movie dialogue or quiet passages, or lose overall surround spaciousness. There is also a TV Equal Volume mode to prevent sudden bursts of loud sound such as from commercials. |
| When the YSP600 is connected to the Panasonic VIERA Link and Toshiba REGZA Link compatible TV via HDMI, you can turnon/off the YSP with the TV, adjust the volume of the YSP, and shift the audio between them by its TVremote unit. |

YSP Digital Sound Projectors take advantage of your walls to create true multi-channel surround sound. Or instead of surround sound, users can focus the sound to the place where they are sitting. Even in noisy surroundings, you can hear dialogue and other sounds clearly. It is also handy to avoid disturbing others who are sleeping, for example, as well as helping people who are hard of hearing. You just point the remote control at the YSP unit, hold a button for a few seconds, and the sound is directed right at that spot. There are also four other selectable sound modes: 5 Beam, 3 Beam, 3 Beam + Stereo, and Stereo. |

FIVE BEAM MODE
All five channels - Left, Right, Centre, Left-surround and R-surround - are given separate orientations. Sound is beamed off the walls to create the effect of a surround system with rear speakers. |

STEREO MODE
The left and right woofers, with the multiple beam speakers acting as tweeters, reproduce the effect of conventional stereo speakers. |

THREE BEAM MODE
Three beams are produced: Left and Left-surround, Right and Right-surround and Centre. A surround sound effect is created by reflecting the sound off the walls. |

THREE BEAM + STEREO MODE
The Left and Right channels are produced using stereo mode while Centre, Left-surround and Right-surround are produced using beaming. This mode is effective when the YSP-1 placed in a corner. |

MY BEAM
One beam is produced: Sound is projected to a distinct location to allow for private listening without the headphones at the touch of a button. |
