YPAO uses the supplied microphone to automatically calibrate the RXV757 for the acoustics of the room and all of the speakers being used.
The RXV757 brings 80 channels of superior digital audio into your home using XM's revolutionary Connect-and-Play™ technology. All you need to get the crystal clear digital sound of XM Satellite Radio is this Yamaha XM Ready Digital Home Theatre Receiver and the Connect-and-Play™ antenna accessory.
The RXV757s remote control can learn the functions of other components, so it can be used to control the entire home theatre system. For ease of use, the units LCD window displays the active input name.
Pure Direct is a special listening mode that provides the highest possible signal purity. When it is selected, the signal follows the most direct path and power to the video and FL display circuit is shut down. A blue LED indicates that Pure Direct is engaged.
When the centre speaker is below a large screen, the sound image of the dialogue is oriented below the picture, creating a strange effect. Dialogue Lift performs signal processing on the centre channel signal and presence channels signals, orienting the sound image to ear level.
Up video conversion (composite to S-Video and component, S-Video to component) as well as down conversion (S-Video to composite) is automatically applied to incoming signals. This way you are always assured of getting the highest possible quality.
The Audio Delay function for Lip Sync, matches the audio to the timing of the output of the video on the screen, correcting the audio-video time lag.
Yamaha has added HRTF and "Virtual" technology to create a realistic surround movie effect using standard, two-channel headphones.
Enjoy explosions, music and sound effects without disturbing others. In this mode, sound effects will not overpower dialogue with sudden increases in volume levels. The Night Listening Enhancer offers two modes, Cinema and Music.
The RXV757 provides a choice of 9 subwoofer crossover frequencies: 40, 60, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 160 and 200 Hz.
Analog Mixdown allows you to enjoy 5.1-chanel sound from only four speakers - two front and two surround. The centre channel and subwoofer frequencies are mixed into the two front channels.
Up to 40 Preset AM and FM stations can be programmed (8 stations x 5 groups). These groupings make it easy for family members to access their favourite stations or to have musical genres, such as all jazz stations, grouped together.
Yamaha's heavy-duty binding post speaker terminals accept a wide variety of connections, including banana plugs, spade connectors, and heavy-gauge cable.
Use Zone 2 (powered) or Zone 3 (line out) connectors to enjoy sound in additional rooms.
