Exclusive THX technology for electronic processing delivers digital 7.1 sound with startling cinematic realism.
Pure Direct is a special listening mode that provides the highest possible signal purity. When it is selected, power circuits that may cause excess noise are shut down, and the signal follows the most direct path.
Operating this receiver is easy and intuitive, thanks to a newly designed GUI (Graphical User Interface).
Main/Zone 2/Zone 3 Power On/Off switches are available on the RX-V4600 front panel, dedicated to each zone. A newly designed, dedicated
Zone remote unit is included with the RXV4600 for quick and easy operation.
Offering Video Aux terminals with optical digital and S-Video terminals, AV rec out/Zone 2 selector, Zone control and Main/Zone 2/Zone 3 on/off switches, tone controls (digital), Audio Select/Multi-Channel Input switches and more with sleek and discrete style.
Precise volume adjustment and matching is made possible via Yamaha's digitally regulated volume control. Adjustments can be made by turning the knob on the receiver or through the remote control.
Yamaha has added HRTF and "Virtual" technology to create a realistic surround movie effect using standard, two-channel headphones.
Up to 40 Preset AM and FM stations can be programmed (8 stations x 5 groups). These groupings make it easy for family members to access their favourite stations or to have musical genres, such as all jazz stations, grouped together.
For convenience and versatility, the receiver can switch back and forth between two sets of speakers at the touch of a button.
Enjoy explosions, music and sound effects without disturbing others. In this mode, sound effects will not overpower dialogue with sudden increases in volume levels.
Yamaha's heavy-duty binding post speaker terminals accept a wide variety of connections, including banana plugs, spade connectors, and heavy-gauge cable.
